Hi, I’m Jen!

I'm a proud grandmother and retired physics teacher in Virginia. I've kept my science hat on in retirement by testing 8 bidets over the last year. Enjoy!

Hey there!

My name is Jen, and I decided it would be fun to start this website! When a friend of mine couldn't stop raving about her new bidet, my curiosity was piqued. But when I went online, I was completely overwhelmed. There were so many features, so much technical jargon, and the reviews were all over the place. One brand promised a life-changing experience, while another user called the same product a flimsy water fountain. To be candid, it was tough!

The internet has such mixed reviews. I wasn't looking for the cheapest option, but I certainly didn't want to spend good money on something that felt more like a gimmick than a real upgrade for my family. Once I ordered the pile of products you'll see in the photos, the retired physics teacher in me took over, and I decided to run a proper experiment to figure out what really works. Besides, I've spent my life testing hypotheses—how hard could it be?

So, I’m gonna be real with you. It's harder than I thought. It seems some products are designed for marketing photos, not for actual cleaning. Others have flimsy plastic parts or are a nightmare to install. Oh, and if a bidet can't pass a simple "single-square confirmation test," it has no business being in my bathroom. The picture below was my classroom a few years before I retired to spend more time with my family. My passion for methodical testing began there, and it's been fun to apply it here at home!

This whole bidet journey has been an experiment. If you're new to this world, I can only imagine how overwhelming it would be. I must say, being able to scientifically identify what actually delivers a superior clean has been a rewarding project, but I put a lot into it! Now that I have my testing process down, I feel good about my recommendations and will continue to update my findings as new models are released. I want to ensure my family—and yours—has the best. I'll be sure to update you along the way!

Thanks for reading!

This was a fun experiment, and I'm excited to move forward with better hygiene. Good luck to you, I hope I was able to help!
